No Walls

Recently I talked to a woman who volunteered as a prayer warrior at her church. She told me how much she enjoyed it and that she was given the opportunity to volunteer from home. I asked her if she was going to take that opportunity and she said, “No! “ I was shocked because I know numerous prayer warriors who work out of their homes, and they love it! I asked her why she was so adamant about not wanting to do the work from home. She said, “Because I don’t want those spirits to come into my house.“ I was confused, so I told her I didn’t understand what she meant. She said, “Ms. Sandra some of them folks I pray for are downright evil spirits. I don’t want them in my house!” I said, “Since when does a spirit need a telephone wire to travel? “She looked embarrassed and said, “I don’t know. I don’t know. I just don’t want them in my house. “ I said, I understand, but look at it this way. I then told her about an experience a had a few weeks prior.

I was watching a Christian program on television when the host on the show asked the guest of the show to pray for everyone in the listening audience for healing. The guest told everyone who could hear his voice to stand up and raise their hands in the air. I was at home at the time, so I stood up, and I raised my hands above my head. He told us to pray in the spirit, while he prayed. As he prayed I felt a power so strong, it felt like bolts of lightning were shooting down from the top of my head all the way down to the bottom of my feet. It traveled through my body which reverberated, boom, boom, boom until I fell back into my chair.

I said, “It didn’t matter that the show I was watching had been recorded several weeks ago, and it didn’t matter that I was not watching it live in the audience.” I said, “Yes there are evil spirits, but Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit when we accepted him as our Lord and Savior. The Holy Spirit lives in us. Spirits do not need wires to travel, and they aren’t blocked by walls. Know who you are in Christ and trust Him.”

Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 1 Corinthians 3:16
