Lost and Found!

Yesterday was a very busy day. I had planned to spend about an hour and a half during the day to get prepared for a meeting I’m having in a few days. Preparing for this meeting required me to sort through a ton of paper. I had to put some packets together for this meeting, and each packet had 20 to 30 pieces of paper in it, and they needed to be in a specific order. As I prepared for this meeting every ounce of space on my desk and credenza were filled with piles of paper. I was sorting, printing, shredding, and filing paper for about an hour and a half.

When I was finished, it was time for me to get back to my to-do list for the day. The first item on my list was to complete filling out a form I had been working on earlier in the day. I needed to complete the form and then document the information in a database on my computer. The problem was that I couldn’t find the form. I had the form earlier in the day, but now I couldn’t find it. I needed to have that particular form because it wasn’t something that I could re-create. I looked everywhere for it, but I couldn’t find it. The more I looked and was unsuccessful the more frustrated I became. All I kept thinking was that I hoped I hadn’t shredded it.

After looking everywhere, I finally accepted the fact that it was lost. At this point, I didn’t know anything else to do but to pray. I went to the Lord and asked him to help me find it. About a half hour later a coworker came to my office and asked me if I had some information she had been looking for. I had the information, so I told her yes and that I would be glad to get it. I was getting ready to go to my computer and print the form out that she needed, but something stopped me. I knew I had a hard copy of that form so I thought I would give her the hard copy and let her copy the one or two pieces of information she needed rather than print out the entire form. She said that was fine so I turned around, and I went to my filing cabinet and found the folder that contained the information that she needed. When I opened up the folder, I immediately saw the information she needed. However, there was a piece of paper stuck to the back of the form. When I pulled the two of them apart, I saw that stuck to the back of the form that she needed, was the form that I needed. I grabbed it, and I lifted it up in the air, and I said, “Thank you, Jesus! Thank you, Jesus!” My coworker looked at me like I was crazy. I explained to her what happened and we both praised the Lord. The paper was lost, but now it was found. Praise the Lord!
